Dutch baby

Dutch baby is a classic breakfast dish that is similar to a large pancake or a popover. It's easy to make, delicious, and perfect for a lazy weekend morning.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  • Combine the egg, milk, vanilla, flour, and salt. Pour the mixture through a mesh strainer for a more even batter and let it rest in the fridge for 20 minutes.
  • Put an oven-safe skillet or pan (such as a Dutch oven) into the oven and preheat to 450ยบ F.
  • Once the oven is preheated, remove the pan and add butter, swirling it until it is evenly coated and melted.
  • Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Serve immediately with lemon and powdered sugar (or your preferred toppings).
